Meet The New Starters

In April 2024, Rotech welcomed 4 new additions to the team, all completely new to coding and marking. However, despite their lack of industry experience, their skills have been transferable. which they have been able to adapt into Rotech.

Their positive attitude, skill and excitement have made them the perfect fit for their positions.

Phoebe McEleavey

Marketing and Office Trainee

Phoebe studied a Business Diploma and Sociology A Level in Sixth Form. During her business studies, she ignited a passion for marketing, enabling her to express herself with creative work and come up with ideas to promote events such as talent shows. This showcases her ability to think outside the box and drive engagement.  While Phoebe has been primarily collaborating with the marketing department, she has also taken the lead in various activities. With a background in hospitality, Phoebe is no stranger to delivering excellent service to her colleagues and tasks. Outside of the office, Phoebe experiments with beauty, especially in the nail industry. Her imagination thrives both within and outside the workplace.

What have you enjoyed most within your first month?

I have enjoyed the creativity and how every day is something different. I’ve have liked conducting activities such as planning our photography day and hitting 2000 followers on LinkedIn.

Why did you choose this job role?

I chose this role as I have a passion for anything creative, I like to explore different ways of doing activities and I can express myself within my work.

What do you hope to achieve in this role?

I hope to expand my knowledge and experience within marketing and the industry, I would also like to grow my confidence within my position and as a whole.

Chiebuka Egotanwa

Business Trainee

Chiebuka has a degree in Accounting and Finance BA Hons from De Montfort University. He seamlessly incorporates his experience within his day-to-day activities at Rotech. His range of skills gives him a solid foundation, allowing him to grasp Rotech’s operations quickly. Chiebuka also has a passion for music, in his spare time he gets his head in the clouds of songwriting. One of his songs was aired on BBC Radio! Chiebuka does and will continue to make excellent contributions to our team and we look forward to it.

What have you enjoyed most within your first month?

Getting acquainted with colleagues and learning the ins and out of the industry.

Why did you choose this job role?

I thought this would be a good role for me because it requires necessary skills, I believe I possess. Also, the role would help me nurture and improve these skills, as well as acquire new skills that are indispensable.

What do you hope to achieve in this role?

I hope to progress and grow, in and for the business to my best capability.

Kevin Holmes

Internal sales executive

Previously working in construction, Kevin has had a career shift, taking him out of his comfort zone.  Despite lacking experience in the coding and marking industry, he has valuable skills like teamwork and communication. Kevin works closely with all of the team, from the marketing department to the support team. He is eager to learn new skills and gain experience and has gone on site visits from the get-go. In Kevin’s spare time he enjoys football and hiking, this allows him to have a balance between work and leisure.

What have you enjoyed within your first month at Rotech?

How welcoming everyone has been and learning about the processes of the business.

Why did you choose this job role?

I chose my job role because I wanted to take myself out of my comfort zone and learn new skills in a new environment.

What do you hope to achieve in this role?

I want to achieve knowledge around the products and be able to help others how the current employees have guided me.

Finlay Laird

Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Finlay’s background as an engine reconditioner apprentice brings an impressive amount of hands-on experience to Rotech. With a passion for tools and getting his hands dirty, Finlay brings valuable skills and enhances our knowledge base. He is eager to face new challenges and explore Rotech’s products. In his first month, Finlay has made himself an outstanding colleague, by forming strong connections and gaining appreciation and respect for how quickly he has Grasped tasks.

What have you enjoyed within your first month at Rotech?

I have enjoyed learning how to wire machines and enjoy the relationships with my colleagues.

Why did you choose this job role?

I chose his job role as I like to build, wire equipment and work hands on.

What do you hope to achieve in this role?

I want to be able to build machines by myself, service/install them and get some qualifications along the way.
