    COMPANY ESTABLISHED

    Rotech started life supplying coding consumables such as hot foil tape, thermal transfer ribbon and, significantly, engraved type.

    An innovative system was introduced to allow hundreds of variants of type to be easily specified with the guarantee that it would always match previous orders.

  3. Rotech hot foil coder

    HOT FOIL CODER & CODER 60 DEVELOPED

    With extensive experience in this field, Rotech was able to develop both a hot foil coder and its first off-line coding system for use in the pharmaceutical and food production industries.

    Extra resources required to strengthen Sales and Customer support.

    Rotech desired to do more within the coding and marking arena.

    FIRST FRICTION FEEDER DEVELOPED

    A customer had a requirement to print codes onto seed packets. Rotech went to a feeder manufacturer to source a feeding system for their printer but was turned down – the company had already agreed to work with a competitor. This led to the development of our own feeder.

    King’s Seeds are still a customer today.

  6. Rotech Machines friction feeder F250

    F250 IS DEVELOPED

    The friction feeder was generating great interest, notably from the American supplier of Thermal Transfer Printers fitted to the early units. The F250 employing a PLC; was developed for overseas distribution.

    RF1 INTRODUCED WITH A FRICTION FEED

    Building on the success of the F250, the RF1 was introduced with a friction feed.

    A YEAR OF INNOVATION

    The RF1 was joined by a Shuttle, and Vacuum (pick & place) variant. The RF2 was also introduced.

  11. RF Compliance feeding system for medical and pharmaceutical manufacturers

    RF COMPLIANCE INTRODUCED

    A pharma system was introduced to meet the needs of the South Korean market.

    Full capacity was reached by now!

  12. Rotech factory with RF Lites lined up

    BACK TO THE FOUNDATIONS 

    This meant a larger premises and additional staff was needed. 18 months after moving into the new premises, the production space was doubled.

    Not forgetting the addition of a first company van.

    NEW PRODUCTS

    The development of the RF Lite and acquiring the UK-exclusive distribution for the Markoprint range of TIJ printers, were “game-changing” events that fuelled significant growth.

    REBRAND

    First dedicated UK Sales resource. There was a company rebrand and brand pillars were established.

  15. RF Auto installed with Integra one thermal inkjet printer

    RF AUTO INTRODUCED 

    New product RF Auto was introduced and there was a concentration on UK accounts with additional sales resources.

    Aiming for growth again but, with more focus and efficient use of resources.

    ONLINE SHOP LAUNCHED

    In 2020 the RF Auto range was established, the RF Lite Shuttle was introduced, and new large area printer & print accessories were released. There was also the launch of our online shop!

    We continued supporting customers throughout the pandemic as key workers.

    25 YEARS OF ROTECH 

    This year, we will be celebrating Rotech’s 25th anniversary!

    We have introduced a new silver logo to mark the occasion. Expect many more upcoming, exciting projects.

  19. RF Auto, Redesign, whole machine

    UPDATED RF AUTO

    The RF Auto, was improved with updates that aided serviceability and usability of the machine.

    It also had a visual makeover, aligning it with the updated website and new colour scheme.
