Metal Components

Coding metal components using maintenance-free thermal inkjet technology

Metal components require direct coding to ensure full traceability. Such parts vary greatly in shape and size, therefore a flexible, reliable coding solution is needed to ensure a durable, legible code is made. There is also often a need to print at high speeds, in small font sizes.

Thermal inkjet (TIJ) for printing metal components

Due to advances in ink formulation, producing a long-lasting, clear code onto a wide range of metal surfaces, including stainless steel, iron, copper, brass and metal plate is possible using thermal inkjet technology. The ink is available in several colours, including white red and yellow – printing using UV ink is also possible. The click in, click out cartridges can be switched in seconds, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum.

Another key advantage for choosing TIJ technology is that it is maintenance-free – it contains no moving parts, resulting in an easy-to-use system that doesn’t need servicing.

Seamless integration into your production line

The compact printers can be easily installed onto existing production lines and can reliably produce high-quality codes, data and graphics, even when operating in harsh, industrial environments.
