Tell us about your previous experience that will help you with this role?
The majority of my working life has involved looking after customers’ needs in a variety of markets. Over 20 years in the wine trade; 17 years in test and calibration and more recently managing the movement of ultrasound equipment to locations throughout the UK.
What initially drew you to Rotech?
The opportunity to work for a smaller, more family business and to get to know and promote some excellent products. Particularly, the follow-up care of the equipment being used in such a wide variety of industries.
How have you found your first few weeks at Rotech?
The whole team are very friendly and welcoming. The action plan to get to know more about the different roles is going well but there does seem to be lots to learn, including remembering names!
What do you hope to achieve working in the Rotech team?
I have always enjoyed taking that extra step to ensure that customers feel loved. I am looking forward to building relationships with customers by email, phone and hopefully face to face.
And lastly, some fun facts about you!
My hobbies include scuba diving, especially in the Red Sea with my son and between us we have logged over 300 dives. Once a month I am the Grid Marshal at HKRC go-karting meetings, calling up drivers over the tannoy and releasing them on to the circuit.
Claim to fame – my uncle thought up and produced the TV show Mastermind which gave Magnus Magnusson the chance to interrogate many people.
Although no longer practicing I was a Karate Instructor for over 10 years and achieved my 1st Dan Black Belt.
